Illiana Faith & Fellowship Night-Sept. 13

Posted by on Aug 20, 2019

As publicized in the spring issue of the RYS Express, RYS is planning on holding a Faith & Fellowship Youth Night (also known as the RYS Movie and Pizza Night) Friday, Sept. 13 in the Chicagoland area. We did this event in West Michigan last fall and it was well-received so we want to give it a go in your neck of the woods.
We will be viewing the new and well-received movie, “Calvinist,” complete with popcorn and drinks to enjoy during the showing. This film features creative animation/illustrations and quick-paced interviews used to aid the viewer in grasping basic reformed concepts. Following the screening, the group will enjoy pizza, games and fellowship. This special high school-age event will be held in the Oak Glen URC fellowship hall located at 2244 Indiana Avenue in Lansing, IL.
We hope to get started shortly after 5 p.m, so plan on arriving by that time to get your seat and snare some popcorn and soda. The movie runs an hour and a half. We will have pizza delivered shortly thereafter, followed by board games and the like and fellowship for all. We expect to wrap things up around 9:30 p.m.
The event is free for everyone, but we will need a count beforehand to assure we have enough pizza, drinks and popcorn. Please email RYS Director Ed DeGraaf at and give him the number of total people participating (leaders and high school teens) by Monday, September 9. Thanks, we trust this will be a fun evening for all and we look forward to seeing you there!
