Reformed Youth Services is excited to announce that, Lord willing, our 2025 National Youth Convention will take place from July 21-25 at Wheaton College in Chicago, IL. This year’s theme, “Praise the Lord” is inspired by Psalm 150:6 “Let everything that has breath praise the LORD! Praise the LORD!” We are happy to anounce Six Flags Great America as our primary day away activity. Informational brochures will be sent to member churches by mid-January, with online registration opening simultaneously, D.V.
Looking ahead, Reformed Youth Services has several other events planned for the fall and winter seasons. Our annual East Coast high school retreat is planned for November 1-3 at Spruce Lake Retreat Center in Canadensis, PA. The cost is $210.00 per person, with a registration deadline of October 21. Leaders please register your kids by filling out a Google Form which can be found by contacting RYS Director Paul Van Dyke at rysdirector@gmail.com.
Lord willing, on October 18, RYS will host a high-school Faith and Fellowship night at Post Family Farms in Hudsonville, MI. Open to high school youth groups, this event will feature a hayride, corn maze, and a bonfire for fellowship and fun. Expect donuts, cider, and good discussions around the fire. Cost will be $15 per person, and due to limited space, we will only be taking the first 60 signups. Youth group leaders, please register your group numbers by contacting RYS Director Paul Van Dyke at rysdirector@gmail.com by October 14.
RYS has also scheduled the California high school retreat for January 17-20, 2024 at Hartland Christian Camp in Badger, CA. Lord willing, our speaker will be Rev. Angelo Contreras, a minister at Escondido URC, CA. Cost is $265.00 per person. Youth group leaders, please register your group by contacting the Director at rysdirector@gmail.com.
Post-high singles and married couples (ages 18-30) are invited to attend a Faith & Fellowship Night on October 12. Please join us at 4 PM, for a fall bonfire and clay shooting night at the Ulberg’s residence (6945 Blair St, Hudsonville, MI 49426). This event will feature clay pigeon shooting, apple cider, pizza, and a bonfire. Cost for this event is $12. Please RSVP by October 9 by registering online on our website. Later this winter, Post-high young adults ages 18-30 are also encouraged to attend the Winter LOGOS retreat planned for January 2-4 at the Faholo Conference Center in Grass Lake, MI. Cost is $225 per person and $410 per married couple. More information and registration coming in late October, D.V.
Finally, the Grand Rapids-area All-nighter will be held February 7-8 at the Spartan Nash YMCA in Wyoming, MI. Cost will be $28.00 per person.
