CONVENTION 2020 CANCELLED
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to His purpose.” Romans 8:28
The Board of Reformed Youth Services and the Convention planning committee regretfully announce that the 2020 national high school convention has been cancelled. Northwest Nazarene University just informed RYS of their decision to cancel all overnight camps and conferences on the campus this summer. While we are disappointed, we also understand the rationale behind their task force’s decision.
Some good news: We have contracted with NNU to hold our 2021 convention July 12-16 in Idaho! The board and committee are also inviting seniors who graduated this spring to attend next year’s event, if they wish. We hope to see many “super seniors” take advantage of this unique opportunity.
Any churches who have already mailed out checks will receive a complete refund. We thank you for your prayers and patience during this unprecedented time and trust the Lord will abundantly bless us next summer, D.V.
At this point, the LOGOS young adults summer conference scheduled for August 5-8 at the Lake Placid Christian Conference Center in Hartford City, Indiana is still on. We hope to announce our plans for that event within the next couple of weeks.
Thank you for your continued support and partnership with the ministry of Reformed Youth Services, we look forward to seeing you at an event in the future, Lord willing.
Questions about either event may be directed to RYS Director Ed DeGraaf at firstname.lastname@example.org or 616-307-7398.
