2026 Winter LOGOS
“No Other gods”
LOGOS Winter Retreat
Jan 1-3, Lake Placid, IN
“I am the LORD your God…You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourself a carved image, or likeness of anything.” (Exodus 20:2-3) These opening words of the Ten Commandments, that so many of us are familiar with, speak to two important realities in our lives as God’s people: the reality of our identity as a redeemed people, and the reality of our persistent struggle with idolatry. What does it take to obey these commands that God has given us for his glory and for our good? Join us at LOGOS as we consider the heart of idolatry, the gift of our new heart in Christ, and how to battle idolatry in our everyday lives in the power of the Holy Spirit of God, by the Word of God, and with the help of the people of God.
Lord willing, the LOGOS winter retreat, intended for singles and married couples ages 18-30, will be held January 1-3, 2026 at Lake Placid Conference Center in Hartford City, Indiana. Mpindi also serves as the Director of Missions and Outreach at First Byron CRC and is pursuing a PhD in Historical Theology at Puritan Reformed Theological Seminary in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
