East Coast Retreat

The East Coast retreat is planned for November 7-9 at a new location, Camp Pinnacle, in Voorheesville, NY. Rev. Andrew Knott

from New Haven URC in Vermont will be our main speaker. The cost is $235 per person, with a registration deadline of October

West Coast Retreat 

The California high school retreat for January 16-19, 2026 at Hartland Christian Camp in Badger, CA.

Lord willing, our speaker will be Rev. Adam Kaloostian, a minister at Ventura Reformed Church in California. Cost is $270.00 per

person. Youth group leaders, please register your group by contacting the RYS Director Paul Van Dyke at rysdirector@gmail.com by

December 29.

East Coast Retreat 

• Dates: November 7–9, 2025 (Friday–Sunday)
• New Location: Camp Pinnacle (621 Pinnacle Rd, Voorheesville, NY 12186) Please disregard the location listed on the back of the most recent RYS Express.
• Speaker: Andrew Knott (New Haven URC, VT) on the theme “Courage in Christ”.
• Sessions: Two talks by Pastor Knott plus a Q&A session. Please encourage your students to come with written questions.

Registration:

• Cost:$235 per person (includes all meals and evening snacks).
• Deadline: October 27.
• How to register: Request the Google Form by emailing rysdirector@gmail.com.
• Please have one check written to Reformed Youth Services upon arrival.
• Leaders: We strongly encourage youth leaders to attend with their groups instead of sending parent fill-ins. These retreats are a wonderful opportunity to connect with your students.

Schedule Highlights:

• Friday Check-in:7:00–8:00 p.m.
• First Session: 8:30 p.m. with Rev. Knott.
• Sunday Service: Please bring Sunday attire to maintain reverence during worship. Leaders are asked to ensure their group upholds reverence throughout the service. An elder will be present.
• Conclusion: The retreat officially ends Saturday at midnight. However, all are invited to stay for worship on Sunday morning, after which groups will depart.

Retreat Activities

• Game room, indoor volleyball, outdoor basketball, low ropes course, archery, hiking, fishing, canoeing, and dodgeball.

What to pack:

• Sleeping bags, pillows, toiletries, a change of clothes, towels,
• bug spray and flashlight
• Bible and pen. 
• Sunday clothes
• Money for the snack shop (optional)
• $40 for Extra Activity (optional and if applicable)
• Fishing Gear for our tournament (optional)
• We will provide the beverage for both nights and the snack for Friday and Saturday. 
• A snack to share (Leaders)

Possible $40 Extra Activities (weather and staff dependent):

• Horse rides
• Paintball
